Louis, the Dapper Gentleman

Louis Portrait

Louis is a sharp dresser in a lounge suit of tan and brown plaid flannel, white shirt, brown bow tie and light brown ultrasuede top hat. His slightly greying hair and moustache give him a sophisticated and refined appearance. The lounge suit became popular in the later 19th century as informal clothes to wear in town, until becoming the accepted alternative to the morning coat in the early 20th century.  As his top hat is not permanently attached (unless requested), Louis would fit into a late 19th century, 20th century, or even a contemporary setting. The top hat was popular through the early 20th century and then relegated only to very formal wear.
