RACHELLE -that's me. I love dolls and that's one of my favorite items to make in miniature along with all kinds of, clothing, hats, costuming kits and accessories. I have available a constantly changing selection of dressed miniature dolls and doll costumes for display in a setting, as well as a sampling of kits to dress miniature dolls and make miniature accessories. I also sell the tools and raw materials for you to design and make your own creations. A few undressed dolls are available for you to dress yourself. My how-to article to dress a flapper in a Chanel inspired 'Little Black Dress' appeared in the Fall 2002 issue of "Dolls in Miniature" Magazine. My article in the September 2000 "Miniature Collector Magazine" taught how to make a faux smocked contemporary nightgown.
I am retired from my job as an accountant and now am monitor (teacher's assistant) in a life drawing class at the Art Student's League in Manhattan and have sung in opera, cabaret and musical theater. I teach doll costuming and have taught voice, am a life member of NAME, and a past corresponding secretary for Big Apple Miniaturists in Manhattan. Some years ago I was Administrator and have taught online at minidollU, the online miniature doll workshop site. I continue to sell and teach at shows and have expanded my skills into larger cloth art dolls, full sized painting and drawing and wearable art.
